The Back-up Plan

Fall in love, get married, have babies – this is the standard protocol in everyone’s mindset. What will happen if these procedures take place in a reverse order? Interested to find out? Then you should watch The Back-up Plan. It is a comedy that explores dating, love, marriage and family.

Zoe (Jennifer Lopez) has a very full life – great friends, a good job, and a fantastic relationship with the grandmother, Nana, who raised her. But while staring down her late 30s, she comes to the realization that the one thing that has evaded her, Mr. Right, may never come along. Thus, she decides to fulfill her dream to have a family on her own and makes an appointment with a fertility doctor. Also, she met Stan (Alex O’Loughlin) on the same day.

Just when things are on a right track and her relationship with Stan is getting better, Zoe realizes that she is pregnant. Instead of breaking up, Stan makes the biggest decision in his life and stays by her side and supports her throughout the nine-month clock. The challenge(s) finally kicks in when Zoe starts to doubt over Stan’s intentions and whether he is willing to take over the responsibilities of being the father of the twins – when they are not even his.

This movie is way better than I thought, probably because it reflects my current situation in some ways (Not the pregnancy part lar!). At the same time, I think it makes most girls wonder if such nice guy like Stan really does exist on Earth (If you’ve met one, please kindly inform me okay?).

Zoe's dog. Looks ugly but posses adorable behaviour.

Storyline is slightly predictable (Stan has to agreed to stay by Zoe’s side no matter what isn’t it? If not, this movie would have ended in 30 minutes), but with the several hilarious parts that are shown throughout the movie, I personally enjoyed it very much. Catchy dialogues this movie has too, “Shut up, my pillow doesn’t talk…” (When Zoe hugs her best friend in order to sleep).

Thank you Nuffnang for the premiere tickets and limited edition bag!

Miz~Paranoia: Hmm, you mean you went but didn't get the limited edition items? Got t-shirts, bag and cosmetic bag; one is allowed to choose one only. But each item has about 5-7, so only the early ones who arrived got it :)
