The day finally came and being one who is quite punctual for events/meetings, the boyfriend and I showed up approximately half an hour ago at Twenty One Kitchen & Bar. Needless to say we were the first and we sort of waited for another half an hour for other participants to show up too :(

The workshop started off with a brief introduction of the tequila that we would be using – The Patron Tequila by Timothy. Basically, tequila is a distilled beverage made from the blue agave plant. We were all told that this particular tequila that would be used in workshop is 100% handmade, from the tequila itself till the bottle (which includes labeling, putting on the stickers too!). Briefing session included us tasting the neat tequila. I was like “Uh, can I not drink this?” Mind you, the tequila consists of 40% alcohol.

After briefing, then it was the time for all of us to show off our skills. Ben, the trainer of the day started off the practical session by introducing the tools of the day.

Sugar syrup, passion fruit puree, fresh lemon juice, vanilla syrup
Long story short, we made 3 concoctions throughout the workshop, namely Passion Fruit Margarita, Spice & Dust, and Harlot’s Kiss.
