The fact that Drum Tao will be performing in August 24 – 25 at the KLCC Plenary Hall has made me a happy girl, this is because there are similarities in between this unique Japanese drum performance and the Chinese traditional drums.
A brief introduction of Drum Tao first aight? In 1993, Tao was formed in Aichi, Japan and since then, it has been seen more than 5 million spectators in 17 countries and 400 cities including Denmark, Israel, USA, Australia, Spain, Belgium and United Kingdom.
This show is sort of like a combination of Japanese martial arts and awesome drum skills and in its 2 hour performance, you'll get to witness the hard work of 16-strong highly disciplined crew of Japanese Taiko drummers. One of the drums will be used in the show is called Wadaiko Drum weighs a massive 400kg with a 1.7metre circumference.

I hve watched a documentary on the Drum Tao before and the drummers are amazing. They go through really hard training which lasts more than 8 hours a day, using enormous amount of strength to beat the drums! I can say this show is not to be missed!:)
